Sandy Whelchel is the author of five educational coloring books.  A DAY IN BLUE and PIKES PEAK COUNTRY sold extremely well in tourist locations though out Colorado Springs, Colorado. A DAY IN BLUE, a child’s tour of the U. S. Air Force Academy sold in excess of 5,000 copies. PIKES PEAK COUNTRY, a child’s eye view of all of the attractions in the Colorado Springs area sold almost as well, with both books going into three printings.

Sandy’s writing career over the past twenty years has included the following:

       · Stringer and columnist for The Denver Post, Parker News Press, and The Express newspapers with over 1,000 articles published.

      · Lecturer on writing and historical events in the Parker area. Writing teacher for Oasis Senior Activities, Arapahoe Community College, Aurora Parks and Recreation, and National Writers Association. Presently Executive Director for the National Writers Association.
